Our Organization

As a land grant institution, Penn State has a mission devoted to teaching, research, and public service. To fulfill this mission and effectively deliver services that support the community, Penn State has grown to a campus of 24 locations with a significant community-based presence through our system of Outreach and Extension services.

Ethics
The Office of Ethics and Compliance supports University units in achieving their commitment to the highest standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity by promoting a culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. The Office has direct responsibility for Athletics Compliance and Integrity, Export Control, Privacy, University Ethics, Youth Programs, and the Penn State Hotline.
Sustainability
You may not know, but when you joined Penn State, you united with a collective university-wide effort to build resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities on our campuses and around the world. In fact, we are proud to be number one in sustainability among the Big Ten and ranked fourth in the nation for the Times Higher Ed ranking.
Through our teaching, research, outreach, student activities, and operations we are increasing sustainability literacy, expanding commitments to sustainable practices, addressing systemic challenges, and building capacity for leadership toward a sustainable future that works for people, planet, prosperity, peace, and in partnerships.
